Special Needs Resourcing
The Region provides Special Needs Resourcing services through contracts with community agencies. The intent of the program is to assist children with special needs to maximize their learning opportunities by providing individualized programs, supports, and services within an enriched child care environment. The agencies provide a variety of services to children with developmental, physical, communicative, or social/emotional difficulties to support their inclusion in licensed child care settings. Funding is primarily used to provide resource consultants and enhanced staffing in licensed child care programs.
