Water Services provides the Region of Waterloo with approximately 180 million litres of drinking water and treats 170 million litres of wastewater every day. There are approximately 115 staff working in various locations — Water Treatment Plants, Laboratory, Field Office, Wastewater Treatment Plants, Administration Building (150 Frederick Street) — to ensure that the water is safe and clean from the source to the tap, and wastewater is treated before returning to the receiving stream.
