Each time you turn on your tap, flush your toilet or water your lawn, you are using water that is supplied by the Region of Waterloo.

In Waterloo Region, the Integrated Urban System – a complex network of wells, reservoirs, pumping stations and trunk water mains – supplies water to people living in Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, Elmira, St. Jacobs, Baden and New Hamburg. Smaller water supply systems provide water to some settlement areas in the four townships.

From the very beginning, provision of a high quality, dependable water supply has played a vital role in public health, fire protection, and industrial development in the area. Our safe and reliable water supply system helps promote economic prosperity and well-being in Waterloo Region’s growing communities.
