Details regarding the 2010 Waterloo County Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be announced early in 2010.

Please note that the Waterloo County Hall of Fame building was closed in 2008 and the building was demolished in preparation for the new Region of Waterloo History Museum. The Waterloo County Hall of Fame will be incorporated into the new museum - exhibits are planned to open in 2011.

The Waterloo County Hall of Fame grew out of a proposal in 1965 to establish a local Sports Hall of Fame in Kitchener. Prior to its opening in 1972, the Hall of Fame concept was expanded to include pioneers and community builders. The Hall of Fame is overseen by a Board of Governors with representation from across Waterloo Region.

More than 450 individuals and groups are recognized in the Waterloo County Hall of Fame for their contribution to the community.
